Job Title: Survey Technician
Job Description

This candidate must be knowledgeable of and abide by safety requirements, and have a good understanding of traffic control and safety procedures for a variety of surveying and construction operations. The candidate will be responsible for the care, cleaning, and use of a variety of surveying tools and equipment including field radios. They will handle daily operation, checking, and basic field adjustments on transits, total stations, total electronic stations, data collectors, levels, compasses, tribrachs, and tripods. The candidate should be knowledgeable of the principles of performing basic surveys: leveling, traversing, triangulation, trilateration, public land surveys, metes and bounds surveys, construction surveys, and photo control surveys. They will coordinate field work for a variety of standard types of surveys under the supervision of a Party Chief and are expected to keep neat and orderly field notes for standard surveying operations: leveling, traversing, topographic mapping, layout, as-built surveys, boundary surveys, profile and cross-section surveys.

This is a 40-person company with a family-oriented environment that values the success and growth of its employees. The surveying group specifically consists of 3 CAD drafters and 13 surveyors but is rapidly growing. The position is field-based, requiring travel throughout the state and work in outdoor conditions. The company offers a company car or mileage reimbursement for travel. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with some flexibility. Employees are encouraged to pursue their surveying licenses, and the company reimburses for all classes, fees for testing, and yearly renewal. During the contract, employees will earn 1 week PTO as well as paid holidays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00
