Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Survey Instrument Operator/Rodman to join our consulting firm based in Lynnwood. The ideal candidate will work in pairs on various layout projects, focusing on utilities in Seattle and northern areas. This role offers a great opportunity for career advancement towards a Party Chief position.
ResponsibilitiesConduct topographic surveying for various projects.Operate Trimble GPS and other surveying instruments.Assist in construction staking and layout mapping.Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate surveying results.Support high-rise construction projects when not working on PSE contracts.Essential Skills2-5 years of experience with Trimble GPS or similar equipment.2-5 years of topographic surveying experience.2-5 years of experience in instrument operation and boundary survey software.Proficiency in topographic map creation and construction surveying.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in construction staking and layout mapping is preferred.Experience in managing survey crews is a plus but not required.Familiarity with ALTA and total station surveying is beneficial.Work Environment
The work environment is dynamic and supportive, with a focus on trust and autonomy. Communication and dispatching are managed electronically, allowing for direct dispatch to project sites. The office is located in Lynnwood, with typical work hours starting between 6:00-6:30 AM. Most projects are situated in Seattle and northern areas. The team enjoys a laid-back atmosphere, and management trusts their crews to operate independently without micromanagement. Employees receive 6 paid holidays and 80 hours of PTO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00
