Surveyor & 3D Support Specialist
Summary: This hybrid role focuses on providing surveying services, including data preparation for field layout, 3D modeling for machines, quantity calculations, and supporting equipment that utilizes survey data. Additionally, the role involves delivering CADD services to clients and internal teams, while still performing survey layout tasks on projects as needed. This position is five days a week onsite. Responsibilities: + Provide work control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and installation of materials (e.g. concrete forms, anchor bolts, wall lines, footers, utilities, beams, dirt work). + Complete projects on time with accurate results. + Achieve safety goals. + Check as-built conditions using surveying techniques. + Conduct topographic and cross-section surveys for planning and payment quantities. + Document surveying activities, plan changes, and modifications. + Maintain surveying equipment in good working conditions. + Coordinate surveying activities with the Survey Manager to meet construction requirements and deadlines. + Assist in preparing data for equipment and machines for use on projects. + Assist in creating 3D models for machine use and quantity calculations. + Utilize current and future equipment to its full capabilities. + Train field staff on GPS and machine control equipment. + Verify plan and construction accuracy through checks and calculations. + Perform CADD drafting tasks. + Support estimators with takeoffs. + Perform additional assignments as directed by the Survey Manager. Essential Skills and Experience: + Minimum 2 years of survey experience; construction survey experience preferred. + Working knowledge of GPS equipment, robotic total stations, laser scanners, drones, machine control equipment and willingness to learn new types of surveying equipment. + Trimble Business Center experience required. + Ability to accurately read construction drawings and make calculations. + Knowledge of data preparation and what survey data is needed for use on projects. + Effective communication skills. + Must be willing to travel as needed. + Proficient with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams. + Team-focused mindset to build strong working relationships. + Commitment to Company values.
