Survivability Armor Engineer
Job Description Were looking for a Survivability Engineer focusing on integrating subsystems and implementing features that protect combat vehicle crews. They will focus on the development and ongoing support of new and existing designs used for combat vehicle armor and structure. Essential Functions include:  Design & develop armor vehicles & armor plating (metallic/composite) for combat vehicles.  Support & participate in armor subsystem and vehicle-level integration, armor testing and verification activities.  Develop data and create design layouts, sketches, and notes necessary for design changes.  Provide knowledge of survivability; specifically related to the metals/materials used.  Participate in the generation and revision of engineering drawings, reports, and procedures.  Ability to travel up to 25% of the time. Skills and Requirements Ability to obtain secret clearance  BSc Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, etc.)  5+ Years of experience in Engineering  Experience with CAD based design systems  Design and development of armor vehicles; and/or armor plating.  Familiarity with the US DoD ground vehicle requirements  Knowledge of the US DoD process and procedures/Knowledge of MILSTDs MS Engineering (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, etc.)  Ability to manipulate or create components in 3D modelling software (CREO, etc.)  Understanding of Systems Engineering and related Standards/ Processes  Familiarity with the US Army TACOM / TARDEC organizations  Military experience null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
