Background of the project

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Miami has been operating since 1960 in response to the Cuban revolution. Over the decades, IRC Miami has served refugees, asylees, survivors of trafficking, unaccompanied children, and their families. IRC Miami focuses on supporting survivors, immigrant youth and other vulnerable populations. We assist survivors in reaching self-sufficiency and lead a coordinated regional response to human trafficking. The IRC in Miami provides a range of services to survivors of human trafficking such as case management, economic empowerment, immigration assistance and more.

The IRC in Miami is committed to providing survivor centered and trauma informed services to survivors of human trafficking, centering empowerment, and choice in service provision.
