What would my working day be like? 

The Sustainability Team at Siemens drive the sustainability strategy for Great Britain and Ireland, which is part of a Siemens international framework called DEGREE. Our focus is specifically on environmental and societal impact, with an input into Governance. This drives our activity to ensure we are working within regulatory requirements, customer demands and ensuring Siemens has a positive societal impact through community outreach, future talent empowerment, and knowledge-sharing as a thought leader in this space. 

 

Your role will include: 

Updating our education portal and leading on volunteering strategy throughout the business, managing all educational, societal, environmental and shared knowledge-based volunteering. Collaborating with the wider Sustainability team on a variety of projects and planning. Contributing to talent management programs, work experience initiatives, and supporting future talent projects and communication plans.  Managing internal and external events at the Manchester site with opportunities to travel within the UK for conferences, meetings with external partners, and supporting STEM engagement activities. Interpreting and analysing data for reports and providing strategic direction. Working closely with the communications team to maintain our branding, create sustainability content, and manage our social media presence. 

 

What do I need to apply? 

A strong interest in volunteering management, education and skills, as well as an interest in climate change, biodiversity and decarbonisation. Self-driven with the ability to use your own initiative in a fast-paced environment.  Embrace equality, diversity, and inclusion in all activities.  Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of confidently engaging with diverse stakeholders.  Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships. Experience with programmes such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
