Job Title: Energy Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced energy modeler with a focus on energy modeling for existing buildings and analyzing trends. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in commercial building energy performance, including energy auditing, data analysis of HVAC/lighting/control systems. Familiarity with programs such as IES is essential.

ResponsibilitiesConduct energy modeling for existing buildings.Analyze trends in energy usage and performance.Perform energy audits and data analysis of HVAC, lighting, and control systems.Utilize IES for energy modeling and analysis.Understand and assess building envelopes, electrical engineering, MEP, designing, and energy systems.Conduct energy audits and evaluate energy efficiency.Engage in measurement and verification, and/or commissioning tasks.Essential SkillsProficiency in energy modeling software, specifically IES.3+ years of experience in energy modeling with existing buildings.Knowledge of building envelope, electrical engineering, MEP, and energy systems.Experience in energy auditing and energy efficiency analysis.Strong understanding of HVAC, lighting, and control systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with local rate structures and incentive programs is a plus.Strong data analytics and end-use analysis skills.Familiarity with measurement and verification, and/or commissioning.Work Environment

Initially, you will work 5 days a week in the office for the first few months to get familiar with the team. Following this period, there is flexibility, with most of the team working 3 days a week in the office and 2 days remotely.
