Our summer internships provide ambitious undergraduates the chance to gain real world experience in their field of study. We provide challenging, professional experience with a global corporation, where you learn from and work alongside Donaldson employees. This internship takes place at our global headquarters in Bloomington, MN, over a 10-12 week period.
We are seeking an intern to assist in enhancing our Microsoft Power Apps project tracker and Oracle BI by aligning them with CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) disclosure categories. This project will streamline sustainability reporting and improve insights from our database and prepare us for Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions activities.
Learning Opportunities:
Gain experience with sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., CDP), data integration, and digital tools like Power Apps and Power BI, while contributing to impactful sustainability initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Modify the Microsoft Power Apps tool and Oracle BI to incorporate detailed CDP categories for GHG emissions, energy, waste, and water management.
Support the preparation of CDP disclosures by extracting and analyzing data from the revamped tool.
Collaborate with the sustainability team to improve data collection methods and reporting accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in undergraduate at an accredited program pursuing a bachelor's degree in one of the following: Sustainability & Environmental studies, Data Analytics and Information Systems, Environmental Engineering fields, Energy and Climate Policy or Economics.
Experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, or Oracle BI.
Basic understanding of sustainability concepts, including GHG emissions, energy, waste, and water management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks such as CDP, GRI, or TCFD.
Strong data visualization and dashboard development skills (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
Familiarity with SQL, Python, or other data management languages is a plus.
Minimum 3.0 out of 4.0 cumulative GPA.
Hourly Pay Range: $16.00 - 27.00, depending on projected undergraduate graduation date, educational degree in progress and major of study upon time of hire.
This position is overtime eligible as per state and federal regulations.
