We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Professional our dynamic team based in our Bayswater, VIC, or Sydney, NSW offices on a 12 month maternity leave contract. 
Reporting to the Business Excellence Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs for achieving agreed sustainability goals and supports accountable management of the organization unit assigned.
Some key responsibilities include:• Implementation of Siemens sustainability strategy. Develop and implement specific programs and concepts for assigned organizations.• Design, propose and ensure implementation of adjusted business approaches to leverage Sustainability as value proposition, on mid- and long-term perspective.• Drive Environmental Portfolio (EP) strategy and respective methodologies, to achieve agreed EP targets (i.e. Sustainability Diagnostics).• Propose, plan, execute and report sustainability initiatives of the business, programs and concepts (i.e. "Eco-efficiency", "Corporate citizenship").• Design and implement respective communication concepts, in cooperation with Siemens Communications team.• Engage and collaborate with external stakeholders, such as business associations, NGOs, and think tanks.• Keep abreast and actively monitor external sustainability trends, respective regional or local laws and regulations.
We are seeking a proactive team member preferably with experience working within a large, complex engineering environment, or a demonstrated ability to work within such an environment. A critical element of this role will be your strong attention to detail and communication skills, including confidence in dealing with various stakeholders. You will be a collaborative and participative team member with a can-do attitude and willingness to take on additional activities as required.
