Sustainability Program Analyst

Sonic Healthcare USA (SHUSA) has an exciting opening for a Sustainability Program Analyst.

 

The Sustainability Program Analyst position advances Sonic Healthcare USA's sustainability initiatives, analyzing data and collaborating extensively across functional business units, including but not limited to Legal, Finance, Quality, and Operations. The responsibilities include working globally in conjunction with Finance and ESG reporting teams in the development, documentation, and execution of the ESG disclosure control program to support required external reporting and auditor assurance. This position reports to the Senior Director of Sustainability.

 

Essential Job Duties:

Conducts ongoing benchmarking of ESG and sustainability disclosures relative to peers, other corporate ESG and sustainability leaders, industry trends and best practices.Administers the online data collection and audit platform, and leads the US Net Zero Fleet initiative.Collects, aggregates ESG data, and reports progress on purchases relative to sustainability (climate action, human rights, & responsible sourcing).Assist with planning and implementing sustainability projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, business partners, and community organizations.Matches supplier capabilities with stakeholders' business need by maintaining a list of qualified and diverse suppliers across most procurement categories.Provides an in-depth data analysis throughout the sourcing process, identifies gaps and areas of commonality, and reviews with management and stakeholders.Partners with category and product managers, business partners, and technical staff to understand requirements and proactively educate the broader business about the importance of responsible sourcing and managing the supply chain to mitigate human rights, environmental, social, and other risks.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business or a related field.  3+ years of experience in Global ESG, procurement, supply chain management, or supplier quality management /engineeringFamiliarity with ESG-related disclosures and industry trends and sustainability reporting tools 

 

Required Skills/Abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets with strong attention to detailsThorough understanding of market developments and marketing strategies Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in communications technologies Ability to identify and address sustainability challenges and propose practical solutionsDemonstrated knowledge of greenhouse gas accountingAbility to work independently, self-motivated, and manage several competing prioritiesAbility to work in a fast-paced, complex, and often changing environmentProficiency in data analysis software - (Advanced Excel skills)
