Sustainability Senior Manager

The role will report to the Director of Sustainability, Strategy and Disclosure and will support our efforts in reducing our environmental impact and promoting sustainability initiatives across the organization. The role will work with corporate functions and business groups to gather and analyze data.
**Major Responsibilities:**
Strategy Deployment:
+ Implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy aligned with the company's goals.
+ Support the identification and prioritization of sustainability initiatives and set measurable targets.
Policy and Compliance:
+ Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
+ Assist in the development of standard operating procedures for data gathering and analysis in support of regulatory requirements
Stakeholder Engagement:
+ Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., operations, marketing, finance, legal, HR) to integrate sustainability into business practices.
+ Engage with external stakeholders, including community members, NGOs, and industry partners.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
+ Collect and analyze data related to general environmental impact, energy usage, air emissions and waste management.
+ Responsible for scope 1,2 and 3 analysis in partnership with business units and operations
+ Prepare regular reports on sustainability performance and progress towards objectives.
+ Responsible for reporting to sustainability raters and rankers (CDP, ISS, S&P, etc)
+ Key contributor to Generac’s annual ESG report
Education and Training:
+ Develop training programs to raise awareness of sustainability initiatives among employees.
+ Foster a culture of sustainability within the organization.
Project Management:
+ Lead sustainability projects from conception to execution, ensuring timely delivery and effective use of resources.
+ Monitor and evaluate project outcomes and make recommendations for improvements.
**Minimum Job Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
+ 3-5 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or corporate social responsibility
+ Deep knowledge of sustainability regulatory landscape and reporting requirements. Ability to analyze ESG related data and drive conclusions and actions as a result. Experience with CDP, TCFD, and scope 1,2, and 3 data gathering and analysis.
**Preferred Job Requirements**
+ Master’s Degree in Sustainability Sciences preferred
+ 5-7 years experience in ESG, EHS with sustainability responsibilities
+ Strong knowledge of sustainability practices, environmental regulations, and industry trends.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
+ Project management experience is a plus.
**Physical Demands** : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
