Sustainability Specialist

Job Summary:
The Sustainability Specialist is critical in ensuring the continuous improvement and long-term success of programs within our care system. This position will address deficiencies identified in annual program performance reviews and develop systemic solutions to enhance program outcomes. The specialist will work closely with the Program Performance, Operational Excellence (OPEX), and Division teams to implement performance improvement initiatives, promoting operational efficiency, compliance, and quality of care.
Program Performance Improvement: Develop and implement sustainable strategies to address deficiencies identified during annual program performance reviews.Systemic Solutions: Ensure that improvement measures are integrated into the care system to prevent recurring issues and promote long-term success.Collaboration: Work closely with the Program Performance team and program managers to align improvement initiatives with organizational goals.Monitoring & Reporting: Track progress on program performance improvements and report outcomes to stakeholders. Serve as a feedback loop to the OPEX team regarding strategic plan projects that improve program or divisional efficiency.Program Management: Lead or support program management initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and sustainability of care programs.Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data and metrics to identify trends, evaluate performance, and make informed recommendations for program improvement.Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key organizational stakeholders to ensure alignment on improvement initiatives and foster a culture of accountability.Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by developing and promoting best practices, processes, and systems that enhance program sustainability and performance.Special Program Assignments: Lead or contribute to particular assignments and projects as directed by Divisional EVPs to address specific programmatic or operational challenges.
Qualifications:
Education: A bachelor's degree in healthcare management, business administration, public health, or a related field is preferred. A master's degree is a plus. However, significant experience in program management or performance improvement, particularly within healthcare, may be considered in place of formal education for the right candidate.Experience: Minimum five years of experience in program management, quality improvement, or operational excellence within a healthcare setting, preferably in behavioral health.Skills:Demonstrated ability to improve program performance and implement systemic changes.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data to drive decision-making.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams.Strong organizational abilities.Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards and quality improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
