Job Description: We are looking for a SAF Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, testing, and certification of sustainable aviation fuel systems for new aircraft and helicopter engine designs. This role focuses on environmental innovation, analysis, and research based on chemical engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct research and development on sustainable aviation fuel technologies.
* Develop and implement SAF protocols and procedures.
* Collaborate with design and test teams to integrate SAF systems into new engine designs.
* Prepare SAF documentation and reports.
* Participate in SAF reviews and audits.
* Plan and conduct SAF testing to validate compliance with sustainability standards.
* Analyze SAF test results and implement necessary design modifications.
* Prepare and maintain certification documentation to support the SAF certification process.
* Ensure compliance with development assurance levels (DALs), safety assessments, and verification processes.
* Familiarity with certification processes and regulatory requirements for commercial aircraft (e.g., FAA, EASA, TCCA).
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience with sustainable aviation fuel technologies and airworthiness standards.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
* Strong understanding of development assurance levels (DALs), safety assessments, and verification processes.
* Familiarity with certification processes and regulatory requirements for commercial aircraft (e.g., FAA, EASA, TCCA).
