このポジションは、FC/DSにおける建屋と設備の設計に対し、再生可能エネルギーの採用や建物から発生する炭素排出量削減に向けた革新的なアイディアを作り、実行していきます。こちらは、建物の計画段階から、ファシリティチームやメンテナンスチーム、エンジニアリングチームおよび不動産部門と連携し太陽光設備や蓄電池の設置を最大化します。また、スキームを作るために、社外のベンダーや省庁等と協議をし、新しい仕組みを作ることも含まれます。太陽光以外の再生可能エネルギー採用の検討、省エネのための設備検討、電気、水、冷媒などの消費量データTrackingを元に炭素削減施策を検討、実行する責任も担います。更にその先にあるサステナビリティ経営に向けて広く・高い視点で活躍してもらいます。このポジションには、建屋・設備に関するプロジェクトの上流から下流までの幅広いフェーズにおいて、リーダーシップを発揮し、技術的視点でプロジェクトを遂行する能力、問題解決や改善提案を実行できる能力と経験が求められます。また、国内外ステークホルダーと電話会議や対面で業務依頼、交渉をするため日本語、英語によるコミュニケーション能力、ファシリテーション能力、プロジェクトを提案するためのドキュメンテーション能力も必要です。
The Operations Technology Division (JCFS: Japan Customer Fulfillment Solutions), as a core division within Amazon Japan Operations (JP Ops), focuses on designing, implementing, and improving logistics processes while optimizing facility design to maximize the value of our locations.
The Sustainable Building Sr. Program Manager will implement carbon reduction initiatives for Amazon Japan's Fulfillment Centers (FC) and Delivery Stations (DS) by engaging with various stakeholders. This includes introducing renewable energy such as solar power, improving energy efficiency, and utilizing low-carbon building materials. As this field lacks established frameworks, the role requires innovation in creating and implementing rules while conducting market research and aligning with global standards.
This position will develop and execute innovative ideas for reducing carbon emissions from buildings and equipment in FCs/DSs through renewable energy adoption. Working from the planning stage, they will collaborate with facility teams, maintenance teams, engineering teams, and real estate divisions to maximize the installation of solar equipment and storage batteries. The role also involves creating new schemes through discussions with external vendors and government agencies. Additionally, they will be responsible for exploring other renewable energy options beyond solar, considering equipment for energy conservation, and implementing carbon reduction measures based on consumption data tracking for electricity, water, and refrigerants.
The position requires broader engagement in sustainability management with a wide and high-level perspective. Candidates should demonstrate leadership capabilities across various phases of building and equipment projects, from upstream to downstream, with the ability to execute projects from a technical standpoint and implement problem-solving and improvement proposals. Strong communication skills in both Japanese and English are essential for conducting business negotiations and meetings with domestic and international stakeholders, along with facilitation skills and documentation abilities for project proposals.

Specifically, this includes finalizing specifications, developing investment schemes, negotiating with property owners, analyzing and verifying investment costs, and conducting contract negotiations.

社内と社外との調整や交渉、短期的な視点で実行するプロジェクトと、長期的な計画や新しい技術の導入の検討という両方の視点が必要になります。Locationは東京の目黒のオフィスになり、関東近郊の現場に必要に応じて月に数回行くこともあり、関西や九州方面の出張は扱うプロジェクトによりますが、年に5-6回のイメージです。
出社後、各サイトの太陽光設備の発電状況や、トラブル履歴などを確認。その後メールチェックなどをしたのち、太陽光設備契約のためにLegalチームと契約書の文言について協議し、プロジェクトの経済検討をし、認識に齟齬がないかをファイナンスチームと確認する。昼食後は、賃貸をしている建物オーナーとMeetingをし、太陽光設備を設置できないかを協議する。その後、太陽光のベンダーと新しいタイプのソーラーパネルについて、適用できる場所がないかを協議する。太陽光分野以外の炭素削減を検討・実行するために、ベンダーの調査、ヒアリングを行い、次年度の計画を立てる。社内のSustainability定例Meetingに出席して、今週の成果や今後の課題について関連部署（建設、施設管理、調達など）と協議をする。新しい仕組みを作るような提案をする際は、問題点と現状、解決したいことを社内外にヒアリングし、新しいアイディアをベンダーや建物オーナーに提案し協議を重ねていく、またそれが法律面で問題ないことを確認するなどの仕事もあります。
This role requires coordination and negotiation with both internal and external stakeholders, balancing short-term project execution with long-term planning and new technology implementation. The position is based at the Tokyo Meguro office, with several site visits per month to locations in the Kanto region. Travel to Kansai and Kyushu regions may be required 5-6 times per year, depending on project assignments.
