As our future Sustainable Procurement and Supplier Engagement Manager, you’ll lead the efforts that influence our Scope 3 decarbonization ambitions and build meaningful and mutually beneficial partnerships with suppliers and partners who share our commitment to a healthier planet and society. In the process, you will collaborate with decision-makers across the Lundbeck organization to transform how we source, procure and engage with suppliers and partners to meet ambitious environmental goals, while also advancing human rights and ethical standards. More concretely, you will (and this is only a slice of the overall scope): + Develop and put into action a sustainable procurement strategy, including supplier engagement frameworks, ESG integration, and decarbonization initiatives. + Oversee the development of policies, metrics, and standards for responsible sourcing practices. + Lead supplier sustainability engagement programs, focusing on climate action as well as environmental and social performance improvements. + Design and implement supplier recognition programs to incentivize sustainability excellence. + Oversee sustainability impact and risk assessment and due diligence processes across the supply chain. + Contribute to ensuring compliance with current regulations as well as actively contribute to readiness on emerging ones. + Oversee the continuous improvement of Scope 3 emissions data quality and collection processes at suppliers. + Represent Lundbeck in industry forums and sustainability initiatives. + Develop and deliver training programs on sustainable procurement practices. We want to hear from you! **Your future team** The role of Sustainable Procurement and Supplier Engagement Manager sits within the Procurement Excellence function of Lundbeck’s Corporate Procurement and has a reporting line to Head of Procurement Excellence. Corporate Procurement reports to the CFO, which is why we are focused on data, insights and execution. The Procurement Excellence team will be 7-8 people at full strength, split roughly in half between Valby, Denmark (HQ) and Krakow, Poland (GBS). Our key focus areas are Source to Pay global process ownership, Business insights and data management, Procurement sustainability, and Governance. It all depends on the person and his/her curiosity, drive, integrity, adaptability, etc. However, we believe that the below-listed qualifications and experiences will set a candidate apart: + Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Sustainability, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. + 7+ years of experience in consulting, procurement, supply chain management, sustainability, or a similar field. + Deep understanding of sustainability frameworks, standards, and regulations. + Knowledge of Scope 3 emissions accounting and reduction strategies. + Knowledge of supplier assessment methodologies, including impact assessment in the areas of human and labor rights. + Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams. + Solid project management and program development skills. + Effective stakeholder management and communication skills. + Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. + Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is beneficial. **Our promise to you** Lundbeck offers an inspiring workplace and innovative culture, where our curiosity, accountability and adaptability enable us to transform lives.
