Purpose Statement

Responsible for supporting the execution of responsible/sustainable sourcing efforts considering the environmental, social, and ethical factors throughout the supply chain. Aids in the monitoring of the implementation of the company's sustainability policy goals with a special focus on suppliers and the sourcing markets. Supports the ongoing governance of Rich’s corporate standards for suppliers/vendors/factories to ensure products meet any statutory requirements and social norms.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

Strategy:
•    ESG Data Analysis & Strategy Support:
Assist in analyzing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) data to inform the development, execution, and tracking of procurement strategies. Provide insights for both internal and external reporting needs.
•    Climate Focus:
Support the analysis and maintenance of Scope 3 category 1 purchase goods and services data to ensure alignment to the development of Forest, Land, and Agriculture (FLAG) targets and reporting under GHG protocol and/or with the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and relevant regulatory frameworks.
Coordinate with internal teams to manage data collection for the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) reporting related to climate and forest sections related to procurement data. 
•    Responsible Sourcing:
Support data collection and reporting to ensure compliance with chain of custody standards for responsibly sourced commodities such as palm oil, cocoa, seafood, eggs, fiber, and others.
Research best practices and emerging trends to ensure ongoing compliance with sustainability standards, and collaborate with global stakeholders to align procurement strategies with Generation of Good objectives.
•    Supply Chain Due Diligence:
Support scaling of supplier ESG management to enhance risk management and digital transformation efforts for supplier reporting.
Conduct supplier assessments, monitor performance, and implement corrective measures as needed for over 1,000 suppliers.
Governance/Reporting/Communication:
•    Supply Chain Certifications & Reporting:
Collect and analyze data related to sourcing for external reporting requirements, such as CDP Climate & Forest, RSPO ACOP, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) packaging legislation, Project Gigaton, and SBTi.
Support the creation of bi-annual ESG scorecards, including data analysis for the Generations of Good Scorecard presented to the Board of Directors, as it relates to Rich’s global supply chain data. 
•    Internal & External ESG Communications:
Contribute to procurement’s role in ESG communications, providing necessary reports and insights for both internal and external stakeholders.
•    Project & Initiative Tracking:
Assist in tagging and tracking ESG initiatives aligned with enterprise goals, monitor progress toward targets, and help shape 2030 sustainability goals, as it relates to Rich’s global supply chain data.
Training & Engagement:
•    ESG Education:
Support internal training and educational initiatives focused on key ESG topics such as Scope 3 emissions, SBTi and FLAG goals, deforestation-free sourcing, traceability, and ethical sourcing.
Develop and present content for committees, departments, and cross-functional teams, ensuring ongoing education and engagement on ESG issues.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

•    Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred;  BA in Environmental Sciences,  Engineering Sciences or related field  preferred.
•    2+ years experience in a business leadership role with experience leading sustainability initiatives; Experience in the food industry a plus
•    Experience handling data sets and running analysis in Excel or similar software
•    Experience performing analysis of climate change or related environmental data
•    Experience presenting data analysis and collaborating with internal partners
•    Experience maintaining successful relationships with external partners, including but not limited to NGOs, governmental agencies, suppliers and related companies
•    Experience working within a dynamic cross-functional team environment, navigating data to drive priorities and deliver results
•    Experience in manufacturing facilities desirable
•    Operations experience and implementing training of colleagues desirable

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

 

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$66,215.00 - $89,585.00
