LinQuest is seeking an innovative, creative and highly-motivated teammate to support a MILSATCOM Program Management Office (PMO) within the US Space Force’s (USSF), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), CO.

The candidate will support sustainment activities for a diverse portfolio of strategic MILSATCOM space systems and infrastructure. The candidate will provide systems engineering and analysis expertise in support of legacy space systems including, but not limited to Air Force Command Post Terminal (AFCPT), Family of Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminal (FAB-T), and Milstar Messaging System (MMS), along with various other systems, subsystems and devices in a multidisciplinary environment. The candidate will also have a direct impact on new MILSATCOM space systems transitioning from the acquisition community to operational stakeholders.

The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Air Force’s Space and Missiles System Center. We support the Air Force’s acquisition of state of the art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.
Responsibilities:
Provides the government customer with MILSATCOM systems engineering advisory assistance, including daily engineering consultation in support of sustainment activities Engages the Joint space warfighting community, supporting sustainment tasks through established space systems engineering processes and procedures for requirements development, technical solution generation (hardware and software) and fielding to space warfighters Evaluates and produces products of a technical nature using technical rigor, adequacy, completeness, and appropriate application of the specialty engineering disciplines as standard process Assists with technology readiness assessments; identify risks and issues with proposed technologies while collaborating with other teams (i.e., Test & Evaluation, Integrated Logistics Support, etc) Supports waiver, deviation and deficiency reviews, system allocations, and compliance assessments Measure and report on technical performance metrics such as FMECA, MTBF, MTTR, etc. Conduct trend analysis and root cause analysis for various NC3 systems currently in operations & sustainment Conducts system/enterprise level engineering analysis to identify sustainment problem areas; provide impact analysis, forecast potential failures, and present options with potential to mitigate these problems Performs engineering analysis on organizational technical processes; suggests process improvements that increase efficiency and/or effectiveness of operations as required Supports formulation of relevant information of sustainment objectives and performs engineering analysis and system-level assessments for decision support at various meetings and sustainment forums Perform studies and analyses of military air, surface, maritime, space and cyberspace missions to assess integration, system-of-systems factors, system vulnerability and survivability, system commonality, new technologies, enhancements, commercialization, cost effectiveness, and mission assurance Travel: Less than 10%Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or equivalent technical disciplines from an accredited university 5+ years of systems engineering experience 10+ years of experience working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships 10+ years of engineering experience across multiple projects within a diverse portfolio Knowledge of MILSATCOM and DoD mission system sustainment Excels in establishing/maintaining positive customer relations Excellent oral and written communication skills Proficiency with MS Office 365 products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams, MS Project) Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, line drawings and schematics Demonstrated ability to produce technical Statement of Works (SOW), Bill of Materials, test plans and procedures An active DoD SECRET clearance is required; must be able to obtain a DoD TS/SCI clearancePreferred Skills and Experience:
International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification or higher Project Management Institute (PMI), Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Familiarity with contracts development in support of SSC/CGM programmatics Experience working in a multi-contractor environmentCompensation for Colorado: Starting salary ranges from approximately $125,000 to $145,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
