As SVP, Business Lending, you’ll direct these efforts. Specifically, this means you will lead the Business Lending teams, ensuring their success through training, and development in credit analysis, relationship building, loan closing, and asset management. You will be leading the strategy for Dupaco’s business loan portfolio by aligning products with strategic initiatives and growing the loan portfolio. **What You’ll Do:**
+ Accountable for the success of the business lending team by providing training and development of business lending staff in the analysis and structure of credits, development of relationships, closing of loans, working with delinquent borrowers, and disposition of assets.
+ Develop annual business plan and performance goals in collaboration with finance, treasury, marketing, retail channels and operations teams.
+ Identify and understand business member research to gain insights and deepen understanding of member needs and partner with Member Experience teams. Partner with key stakeholders to develop and execute a comprehensive roadmap to build competitive, profitable products that help our targeted segments and is aligned with Dupaco’s strategy.
+ Evaluate the business loan portfolio, analyze developing trends, and recommend changes and improvements based on member insights, growth, profitability and Key Performance Indicator metrics.
+ Actively monitor business loan performance and portfolio growth – providing updates to key stakeholders.
+ Provide insights and performance reviews on activities including discussing industry trends, market impact of competitors, and recommendations to improve loan penetration.
+ Responsible for gathering insights and partnering with finance and treasury on product pricing strategy, competitive analysis, balance sheet goals, performance and profitability.
+ Responsible for launching new business loan products, identifying opportunities for product revisions and for new products based on member insights, credit union needs, market input and competitive assessments.
+ Responsible as the process owner of identified support work needed to deliver business loan solutions to members.
+ Works collaboratively with leadership in Business Services, Business Processing, and Credit to improve the member experience and develop individual and department goals that support enhanced product usage which in turn develops deeper relationships and increased engagement with business owners. Develops short-term and long-term strategic plans for the business lending function.
+ Cooperate with auditors (Internal Audit, Audit Committee, State and Federal examiners, and others third party) and ensure credit related issues identified are addressed in an adequate and timely manner.
+ Partner with Member Solutions to resolve credit issues, oversee loan workouts, monitor loan repayment, trouble debt restructuring, asset recovery, and collect past due accounts, as necessary.
+ Actively follow industry trends and economic conditions and well informed about competitive rates, terms, products and services. Actively participates in establishing business loan rates.
+ Responsible for gathering quantitative analysis and troubleshooting problems, including investigating the drivers behind credit quality deterioration and providing recommendations to improve performance.
+ Serve as a member of the Business Loan Committee and the Loan Quality Team.
+ Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, understanding the risk management and compliance requirements, and partnering with risk and compliance teams to manage the credit union’s risk profile related to business lending.
+ Accountable for clearly defining roles, ensuring accountability, monitoring performance, identifying risks and roadblocks through change management, serving as a subject matter expert, providing training, and facilitating communication through process ownership.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**What You’ll Need:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
+ Extensive experience in business lending and supervisory experience required.
+ Excellent communication skills with strong written and oral presentation skills, for both internal and external credit union communications and relations.
+ Strong analytical background to interpret and analyze financial data and make sound business lending decisions.
+ Advanced knowledge of business financial statements and cash flows analysis, required.
+ Thorough knowledge of business and consumer lending laws and regulations, required.
