GC Capital & Advisory is a division of MMC Securities LLC, which is a leading broker-dealer in the (re)insurance sector. As part of Guy Carpenter, a subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, GC Capital & Advisory provides advice and execution on M&A, capital raise, structured risk transfer and capital management solutions to the (re)insurance industry.
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Vice President to join the GC Capital & Advisory team in NY.
We will count on you to:
Assess various M&A and capital-raising transactions and structures depending on client needs, including buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, joint ventures, new company formations, capital raising for new and established companies across the capital stack (debt, equity, preferred,...).
Present strategic considerations and financial impact analysis across various transaction structures to a senior audience of insurance and reinsurance clients.
Execute specific M&A and capital-raising transactions, working with clients and third-party service partners, including preparing transaction marketing materials, conducting outreach to potential M&A counterparties/investors, coordinating auction/due diligence processes, drafting term sheets and reviewing legal documentation.
Project manage and coordinate third party service providers on specific transactions, including legal counsel, actuarial firms, rating agencies, and other transaction consultants, as applicable.
Support other colleagues of GC Securities on ILS transactions and legacy solutions
What you need to have:
Bachelor's degree
7-10 years experience in an investment banking type role
Expertise with the analytical and regulatory requirements of a securities transaction, with a history of having successfully completed M&A and capital raising projects.
Strong financial and analytical skills, including experience with M&A modeling, financial impact analysis of different transaction structures/instruments, insurance accounting, with an ability to interpret, organize and effectively communicate complex financial data.
Ability to potentially travel internationally extensively.

Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $161,200 to $268,800.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
