The Controllers Transformation organization is looking for a dynamic individual to help shape the future of the Finance organization. As part of Citi Finance’s transformation program, the Controllers Transformation team is charged with leading Finance’s efforts to provide accurate information of the highest quality to our customers, shareholders and regulators. Controllers Transformation processes are comprised of those sets of activities that begin with defining and establishing appropriate data standards and ensuring readiness for consumers, standardizing the accounting and processing of transactions to financial systems, implementing a comprehensive set of integrated financial closing processes, which then culminates with instituting common and optimized financial / regulatory reporting processes. 

Controllers Transformation processes are the starting point for a majority of Finance activities and serve as a feeder to other global processes and areas of consumption. The role holder will be a change leader and actively engage Regulatory Reporting teams leads to help transform Finance’s global process. 

The role holder will champion business process changes by understanding current state processes, helping to define the target state, partnering with Technology on the delivery of required infrastructure capability, and with client-facing and shared services teams in the transformation to the target state. A strong finance background, passion for driving change, navigating and overcoming obstacles, and working effectively independently and in team settings are critical to the role holder’s success and growth.

The role holder must be able to evaluate issues of varying complexities by developing an approach or action using multiple sources of information and weighing various alternatives and balancing potential conflicting situations. Requires excellent analytical skills to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources.

The Fin Solutions Sr. Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Typically a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.

Responsibilities:

Contributes to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions, including:Participates in formulating and setting strategic direction for the process, organization and architecture covering Finance across Citi businesses, products, functions and locationsAssists in setting business and information architecture standards for FinancePlays a part in settling and operating necessary forums and frameworks to establish and govern policies and starts for global Finance processesParticipates in assessing and incorporating changing business, regulatory and market information needs into finance processes and applicationsManages complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas.Applies in-depth knowledge of the business impact of process design and technical contributions.Accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions.Regularly interacts with peers within the firm and externally, including regulators and professional organizations.Provides advice to internal clients on the implications of business trends, issues, operating environment changes and firm or business unit strategy.Performs other duties and functions as assigned.Transform disparate processes into a streamlined, standardized and best-in-class global process, while understanding the requisite level of detail required for successful implementations. This includes the removal of legacy process and system silosAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

10+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry highly preferredRequires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function.Requires communication and diplomacy skills in order to guide and influence others.Experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environmentSelf-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.Advanced Microsoft Office skillsIn depth knowledge of banking products / systems highly preferred.CPA preferred

$130,880.00 - $196,320.00
