About This Job
This position will be located at our HQ in San Diego, CA. Remote or Hybrid is not available.The SVP, Head of Data will be responsible for defining and leading the execution of the data strategy across the organization. This role encompasses data engineering, business intelligence and reporting, advanced analytics, data monetization, and artificial intelligence. The Head of Data will drive the vision for leveraging data as a strategic asset, ensuring data integrity, and fostering a data-driven culture.
Responsibilities:
Data Strategy and Governance:
Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the company’s business objectivesEstablish data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, privacy, and compliance with regulationsOversee data architecture and ensure the scalability and security of data systemsData Engineering:
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust data pipelines and infrastructureEnsure efficient data integration, storage, and retrieval processesCollaborate with IT and other departments to optimize data workflows and systemsBusiness Intelligence and Reporting:
Develop and manage business intelligence tools and platforms to provide actionable insightsOversee the creation of dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support decision-makingEnsure timely and accurate reporting across all business unitsAdvanced Analytics:
Lead the development and application of advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modeling and machine learningDrive the use of data analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvementCollaborate with business leaders to translate analytical insights into strategic initiativesData Monetization:
Identify opportunities to monetize data assets and create new revenue streamsDevelop partnerships and collaborations to leverage data for business growthEnsure ethical and compliant use of data in monetization effortsArtificial Intelligence (AI):
Oversee the development and implementation of AI solutions to enhance business processes and customer experiencesStay abreast of AI trends and technologies to drive innovationEnsure the ethical use of AI and manage associated risksQualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldProven experience in a senior data leadership role, preferably as a CDO or similarStrong expertise in data engineering, business intelligence, advanced analytics, and AIExperience with data governance, data monetization, and regulatory complianceExcellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersPreferred:
Proficiency in data management tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, Hadoop, Spark)Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced analytics software (e.g., Python, R)Knowledge of AI frameworks and technologies (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)Axos Employee Benefits May Include:
