Summary: The SVP, Renewables is the executive leader responsible for safe operations, profit & loss, and management of the business unit. The SVP, Renewables directs, manages, and is responsible for scheduling and contract budgeting for Renewables projects in the U.S. Incumbent will provide overall work direction for multiple projects simultaneously and the administrative and technical direction of site operations.
Requirements:
Leads business development in building relationships with clients at the executive level to build healthy pipeline of future opportunities.Leads business development in the proposal process to align deliverables with the customer’s target project objectives.Advanced planning of all renewable projects to support resource and overall business needs.Provides direction of scope, schedule, and budget management and controls for all projects.Customer and subcontractor contract management.Hires, manages, and measures resources including labor, equipment, and subcontractors.Directs, measures, and reports progress toward project goals. Manages and mentors vice presidents, project directors, managers, and field operations teams.Maximizes resource efficiency and effectiveness.Ensures proper close-out of projects.Develops project management system, monitors effectiveness, and ensures system is updated regularly. Develops communication system to update Management regularly on the status of projects.Communicates with customers project status and diplomatically handles customer concerns.Works with other internal departments to align and support the company goals and needs.Regular reviews of project financial performance.Maintains strong financial transparency in all relationships with Management.Identifies opportunities for improvements in operations that will translate to bottom line results.Anticipates and minimizes cost overruns.Meets or beats project budgets.Increases gross profit margins on construction projects.Leads and supports both rapid transformation and high growth and their related demands.Collaborates with peers and inspires trust and integrity in his / her team by demonstrating such behaviors. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction, or another industry-related field-Required.Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction, or another industry-related field-Preferred.Minimum of 15 years of industry-related experience in operationally complex organizations-Required.Minimum of 15 years of experience of leadership experience managing renewables construction projects and teams to include both direct team leadership development and large operations team leadership-Required.Experience with integrated project management and operationally excellent tenets of operations-Required.Ability to travel domestically and internationally: 31%-50%.Valid Driver’s License Required.
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
