We want you to have a sense of belonging and feel valued for your contributions and the perspectives you bring. **Summary:** The SVP, Transmission & Distribution is the executive leader driving the strategic vision, market expansion, and profitability of the High Voltage and BESS business unit. This role shapes the company’s leadership in the Transmission, Collection, Substation and BESS construction, overseeing a high-value portfolio to deliver sustained profitable growth, foster innovation, and align with enterprise objectives. **Requirements:** **Strategic Focus** + Develops, reviews, and re-defines the business strategy for profitable growth of the business unit. + Responsible for developing a three-year business plan for the business unit, including HSQE, revenue, and profit targets. **Business Development Focus** + Spearheads business development by forging strategic partnerships with executive-level clients and industry influencers, securing a robust pipeline of high-impact opportunities. + Directs the proposal strategy to position the company as the preferred partner, aligning offerings with market demands and customer priorities to drive profitable growth. + Planning and Resource Management. + Leads long-term strategic planning for the portfolio, integrating cutting-edge solutions and market insights to optimize resource allocation and achieve business unit goals. + Guides vice presidents and project leaders to execute scope, schedule, and budget strategies that maximize profitability and scalability. **Financial Leadership** + Drives financial strategy for the business unit, setting ambitious profitability targets and leveraging portfolio-wide insights to enhance gross margins. + Champions initiatives that mitigate risks and deliver above-market returns, ensuring sustainable growth. **Stakeholder and Enterprise Alignment** + Partners with C-suite leaders and key stakeholders to align the business unit with enterprise-wide priorities, co-developing and executing a Strategic Plan that drives cross-functional growth, elevates brand reputation, and accelerates market penetration. **Leadership and Team Development** + Builds and inspires a high-performing leadership team, empowering vice presidents and directors to execute operational goals while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability that supports strategic objectives. + Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected. + Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures. + Reviews business proposals and chairs the RFP process. Review and approve proposals. + In collaboration with Commercial, Engineering, Procurement, Transactions and Legal groups, presents approval papers to Risk and Major Transaction committee per the Stage-Gate and LOA requirements. + Collaborates with HSQE, Commercial, PMO, Operational Excellence, and Engineering groups as required for process implementation and improvement. + Collaborates with the Renewables business unit to cross-sell integrated project solutions to clients. + A track record of strong financial and general management business ownership at high-performing organizations. + Proven experience creating and executing strategies that brought together disparate teams with different cultures to create a larger, sustainable organization. + Strong analytical skills with the demonstrated ability to use data analysis to build actionable insights. + Ability to understand new areas within the business and desire to operate outside the current comfort zone. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to tailor them to individual personalities. + Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and the desire to bring structure to undefined procedures. + Developing and maintaining relationship with clients, potential clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. + Use creative motivation techniques to lead a team that suits our company values and employee commitment. + Functional competencies include accountability, building strategic partnerships, business acumen, ethics & integrity, and managing vision & purpose. **Safety:** + Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude. + Leads by example to show that safety is the most important function, ensuring that all employees follow safe practices while working. + Accountable to continually reinforce safe behaviors and correct “at risk” behaviors. + Adheres to and ensures all site team members understands standard operating procedures. + Leads and supports the site team in technical, quality and safety, utilizing system in place. **Leadership:** + Fosters and demonstrates a workplace inclusive of creating opportunity, serving others, building trust, innovation, and exceeding expectations. + Manages one or more direct reports. + Participates in hiring and selection process to fill positions on the team. + Communicates regularly with direct reports on goals, accomplishments, and information on policies. + Demonstrates leadership and expertise in eyes of client group. + Employee Development: + Provides tasks and assignments that challenge and stretch employees’ responsibilities. Comfortable with empowering others. + Conducts regular discussions with employee(s) on personal development. + Conducts timely, effective performance reviews in accordance with RES guidelines. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction required + Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction preferred + Minimum of 10 years of industry-related experience in operationally complex organizations-required + Minimum of 15 years of experience of leadership experience managing EPC projects and teams to include both direct team leadership development and large operations team leadership-preferred + Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position with relevant and comparable construction project-required + Ability to travel domestically and internationally: 31%-50% + Valid Driver’s License required The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
