Job Description A client of Insight Global is looking for a highly experienced Building Consultant in the PNW (preferred Seattle or Portland). The ideal candidate for this position possesses a minimum of 10+ (7+ for AVP) years of estimating experience and work experience in the restoration, insurance, and remediation field, with responsibilities for estimating large commercial complex losses. Large loss Insurance Adjusters with strong experience in the construction industry can also be a great fit. Estimators with experience in reconstruction projects, roofing, or equivalent fields are welcome to apply. Candidates with appraisal, mitigation, cost analysis, and disaster recovery are also welcomed to apply. The most successful experts in our organization have a strong desire to understand and learn the methodology for negotiating and settling files in a timely manner. They constantly apply strong analytical and writing skills to produce expert reports to support our clients in making important high-value decisions. Engage with Clients: Communicate with clients, adjusters, brokers, and insured parties to understand their needs and provide updates. Perform Inspections: Conduct field inspections and site visits to assess the extent of damage or scope of work required. Estimate Costs: Utilize software like Xactimate to estimate costs for medium to large commercial and residential projects. Review and Analyze Documents: Examine project-related documents such as schedules, contracts, change orders, and reports. Offer Technical Guidance: Provide direction to other consultants and support their projects. Develop Business Opportunities: Collaborate with Business Development Managers to create new business opportunities and maintain existing client relationships.
