Job Description
Our Engineering team is seeking a Software Systems Engineer who will be responsible for design, development, testing and maintenance of proprietary prepaid technology and its related components. The Software Engineer will apply principles and techniques of professional and creative software development.
Responsibilities:
· Development in proprietary wireless product to be used in an embedded target platform.
· Designing and writing original source code, modifying existing source code, debugging, and integrating the work of others are significant aspects of the position.
· Work with engineering QA and Technical Account Manager (TAM) groups in ongoing development of product certification procedures and support tools.
· Responsible for all phases of the software engineering process including, but not limited to:
oSoftware design & development.
oProper documentation through every phase of the development process.
oCode testing and debug.
· Ability to own and drive problem resolution, work independently and require minimal supervision.
Required Experience
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent or BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· A minimum of three years working experience in embedded software programming.
· C and C# programming in Visual Studio environment experience required.
· Knowledge in 2G, 3G and LTE wireless standards (GSM, GPRS, EDGE, CDMA, 1xRTT, EVDO, HSDPA, UMTS, LTE)
· Experience with Smartphone development is highly desired.
· Experience with Qualcomm, ARM compilers is highly desired.
· Experience with encryption/security algorithms is desired.
· A thorough understanding of product development cycle from early prototype development through production obsolescence. Prior experience with bringing devices to market.
· Experience working with SIMs and SIM Toolkit desired.
