Keep reading, as we have an opportunity for you!A Swim Instructor at British Swim School teaches swim lessons to children and adults, starting at 3 months old using our fun, gentle and progressive methods. You will receive extensive training to build your confidence and ability to work with a variety of swimmers and abilities. Having fun and interacting with our swimmers is an important part of the role! A strong focus is placed on providing survival swim techniques living out the British Swim School mission and making a big impact on decreasing drowning.This role requires effective communication skills, patience, and the ability to motivate students to achieve their swimming goals.

Your Typical Responsibilities:  Report directly to and support the Aquatics Manager Follow British Swim Schools curriculum to ensure safe and competent lessons and environment. Work Mon, Wed and Thur from 3pm-7pm), and Saturdays from 8am- 12pm Maintain certifications throughout employment. Work in an environment where noise levels are usually moderate to high and stand in the water for up to 5 consecutive hours. Collaborate with other instructors and staff to develop engaging lesson plans and activities. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area before, during, and after lessons. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma, equivalent, or in the process of completion. Enthusiastic personality. Comfortable in and around the water. Strong swimming skills are a plus but can be taught and developed! Must maintain certifications throughout the length of employment. Must complete all required British Swim School Aquatics-specific training and testing. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with children. Swimming experience: 1-2 years preferred but not required. Customer service skills: 1 year preferred. Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification(s) preferred (but can be obtained during training) Skills in childcare or experience working with children in sports coaching or educational settings are highly valued. Compensation: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
