The Swim Instructor Position: Train, understand, and teach our premier British Swim School program to kids age 3 months and up. Provide a fun and safe learning experience to students and parents, while maintaining certifications throughout employment. + WE PAY FORandPROVIDE ALL TRAINING!The only thing required is an eagerness to learn, a fun personality and an enjoyment/love for children (we offer training on adult instruction too). + Recognize and understand the program progression and level of swimming ability of each student. + Attend staff meetings/huddles and regular in-service training + Set up, clean and maintain pool areas before and after each shift. + Our Swim Instructors also cross-train as Deck Ambassadors to help represent and be the greeters and friendly faceof our program. Customer service skills and a desire to work with people are a must! + Welcome students and parents/guardians to the pool deck area. + Check water chemistry and temperature prior to swim lessons. + Provide instructive feedback to parents and children or the Owner/Deck Ambassador on duty to track kids’ results. + Arrive dressed in British Swim School attire at least 15-30 minutes before the first lesson. A willingness to help your fellow teammates by substituting shifts and helping maintain a great work environment and work-life balance! Strong swimming skills are a plus but can be taught and developed! + Ability to follow the program, be on time and enforce safety procedures. + Must complete all required British Swim School Aquatics-specific training and testing. + Work a flexible schedule that may include evenings (3pm-8pm), weekends (8am- 2pm). Preferred Qualifications: + Experience working with children. Early Care Education or Daycare teaching experience is preferred + Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification(s) are a bonus, but training will be provided if not. + Customer service experience.
