**Line Cook - University of Portland** **Job Description** + Serve customers at the grill station in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure high-quality food service. + You will take orders, prepare items requiring short preparation, complete orders from steam tables, and serve customers at multiple stations. + You will ensure food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty, taste all prepared food items, and follow established ticket-collection procedures during service. + You are responsible for records from the area worked during service periods, using approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control. + You will carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with established safety standards, store foods in designated areas following standard wrapping, dating, and food safety and rotation procedures, clean, sanitize, and maintain all assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to ensure sanitation standards are met. + You will also resolve customer concerns and report relevant information and concerns to the supervisor, attend in-service and safety meetings, and maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and administrators. **Hard Skills** + Food preparation + Quality control + Food safety standards + Ticket-collection procedures + Record-keeping + Sanitation standards **Soft Skills** + Customer service + Efficiency + Friendliness + Problem-solving + Communication + Teamwork **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 520 Hour(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Portland, Oregon. **Work Environment** You will work in a fast-paced food service environment, following established safety and sanitation standards. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
