We are seeking an ambitious reporter to cover some of the biggest companies in Switzerland as part of the Global Business team. 
It's a beat that offers great potential to break scoops and write big, impactful enterprise stories on companies that are industry leaders in the pharmaceutical, luxury, consumer-goods and industrial sectors globally. It's an exciting opportunity to cover household names as they try to navigate trade wars, geopolitical tensions, the rise of artificial intelligence and changing consumer trends. 
A reporter with great news instincts, sharp writing skills and a self-starter approach will have a lot of latitude to make this beat their own with agenda-setting coverage. 

We'll expect you to:Build a deep, diverse network of corporate and industry sourcesBreak news that moves markets and informs clients about the inner workings of companies operating in one of Europe's biggest marketsWrite engaging articles across a variety of formats, from earnings coverage to long-form featuresPitch ambitious projects for publication across Bloomberg's many platforms, from print to video and graphicsDemonstrate a versatile and collaborative approach to working with different reporters and editors across the Bloomberg global newsroom

You'll need to have:A demonstrated track record of breaking news and experience covering companies, markets and financial newsThe ability to work accurately, under pressure in a fast-paced, breaking news environmentThe ability to understand technical subject matters and delve into unfamiliar topics quickly, while always reporting in a clear, engaging, thoughtful and informative way for a broad global audienceFluency in English and German
