As a Swiss Machinist you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPrograms, sets up, and operates Citizen C16 Swiss Type Machine with Mitsubishi control.\r\n\tOperates a variety of machine tools and equipment, such as manual lathes, mills, drill presses, and cut off saws.\r\n\tPerforms set up to operation to produce a variety of production parts and tools from metal, plastics, and other materials.\r\n\tInspects all work using precision measuring tools to ensure all parts meet drawing specifications.\r\n\tMakes adjustments and offsets to machines to control speed, material feed, and path of cut.\r\n\tMakes sure machines are set up properly, working well and producing quality product.\r\n\tPerforms work under general to minimal supervision depending on skill level/experience.\r\n\tEnters accurate daily labor information into data collection system.\r\n\tQuality conscientious and responsible for all aspects of quality related to work produced.\r\n\tKnowledge and general understanding of ISO 9001 quality policies.\r\n\tAdheres to all safety directives/requirements within the area and facility (i.e., Personal Protective Equipment) and fully participates in all 6S activities and daily clean-up.\r\n\tOther duties as directed by Management.\r\n\r\n\r\n

The ideal candidate will have:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAssociate degree or completion of a Machine Tool Technology Program,\r\n\t10 Years of experience with contact machining\r\n\tKnowledge of Citizen C16 Swiss Type Machine with Mitsubishi control\r\n\tKnowledge of shop math\r\n\tAbility to read blueprints and schematics\r\n\tStrong attention to detail and quality\r\n\tMakes own tools and fixtures\r\n\tPerforms general maintenance on machine tools\r\n\tStrong mechanical aptitude to include understanding of CAD/CAM technology\r\n\tAbility to multi-task and follow detailed instructions\r\n\tAbility to lift and move up to 50 pounds throughout the day\r\n\tAbility to perform repetitive movements\r\n\tFamiliarity with machining of various materials\r\n\tDemonstrated teamwork to include knowledge of Self-Managed teams is a plus\r\n\tComputer programming experience is a plus\r\n\tThis position requires visibility to projects that are Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN), including foreign governments, organizations or non-U.S. citizens and thus requires US citizenship.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Pay Rate: $40.00-$60.00 hr

\r\n\r\n
