Responsibilities

Operate the organization's telecommunication system to answer and route incoming calls and to communicate codes, alerts, drills and other announcements.

Receive and relay internal and external calls and provides general information according to protocol.Maintain desk directories, on-call list, reference guides and other associated reference materials.Operate beeper and paging system to contact personnel and code team.Communicate codes, alerts, drills and other announcements according to established policies and protocols, including disaster management plans.
Requirements

Education:

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Additional Preferences Experience in call center type environment that includes working weekends and holidays on an alternating schedule.  Communicating effectively and clearly is a must along with good listening and typing skills.  This is a great opportunity but can also be demanding due to the emergency codes/alerts we do answer and process.
