OverviewThe Loan Syndication Administrator is responsible for administering and servicing syndicated and participated loan activities, such as handling advances, payment, LIBOR pricing, fee and overall maintenance of the loans where EWB is the lead/agent or EWB is a participating bank.
Responsibilities Receive and review borrower’s request or Lead Bank’s request to advance funds against line of credit ensuring proper availability and process Advances on the loan systemReceive funds via Wire and notices from Lead Banks to post payments on the loans and clear wire suspense timelyReceive notices requesting loan advance and verify that all provisions have been met and process the advance on the loan system and disburse the funds to the Lead Bank in accordance with the AgreementCalculate the amounts/shares applicable to each participating bank regarding advances and paymentsPrepare notices requesting advance of funds from participating banks and post accordingly upon receipt of fundsPost payments upon receipt from the borrower and or Lead Bank and monitor receipt of wires Prepare notices of receipt of payments to participating banks and wire funds accordinglyMonitor interest Index, repricing and provide rate change notices to participating bank or process rate changes upon receipt of notice from Lead BankPrepare wire instructions and submit funds to participating banks or upon request from lead bank to disburse funds. Prepare Fees Notices with proper fee computationsProcess Notes Sales with premium/discount as requested by the lending team in accordance with Accounting Dept.’s note sale accounting entriesMonitor delinquencies and work with Lead Bank to settle and delinquencies due to syndication administrative issuesReconstruct disputed loan accounting with Lead BankReconcile the Wire Account in suspense for timely posting of funds receivedAct as a liaison between relationship managers and the Lead Bank May assist in creating/establishing procedures in support of the Loan Syndication Administration Support other projects as assigned by the ManagerRespond to all internal and external customer inquiries Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting preferred or equivalent experience Experience in the Commercial Loan Servicing preferredExperience with Syndications working directly with Lead Bank or participating banks preferredAdvanced knowledge of Syndication industry practice and processesCommercial loan accounting system experience required with FIS preferred Broad knowledgeable of Loan Documents with outside counsel prepared documents preferred Ability to provide excellent customer service Ability to multi-task, adapt quickly to changes and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Must be a self-starter and possess positive attitude with good organizational skillsThorough knowledge of Microsoft software, inclusive of Word and ExcelDocument Imaging system experience requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills requiredGood organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to build effective relationships as needed to effectively address issues and obstacles Compensation The base pay range for this position is USD $25.00/Hr. - USD $35.00/Hr.
