Summary
The Near View Content Modeler will assist in the design, development, and implementation of modeled assets in a collaborative environment. They will be expected to contribute and maintain a 3D model repository with the rest of the team, document their work in progress, and provide feedback on task progression. They should have strong problem solving skills and be willing to support automation where possible. Candidates are required to have a portfolio demonstrating their modeling, texturing, and animation skills to be considered.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Possess strong 3D modeling, texturing, and animation skills to develop highly optimized assets for use in game engines
Texture using PBR workflows to match photographic reference
Perform productively in a fast-paced work environment either independently or as a part of a team
Be able to work off a variety of sources including photographs, 3D scans, CAD models, or non-optimized polygonal models
Adjust workflows to match our organizational processes/tools
Document processes that are housed on an internal knowledge management system
Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Instructional System Designers (ISDs), and software engineers requiring strong interpersonal skills
Qualifications and Education Requirements
BFA in Computer Art and/or minimum 3 years of experience in a related field
Advanced proficiency using Digital Content Creation tools (i.e. MODO, Maya, 3DSMAX, Blender)
Advanced proficiency using texturing tools (i.e. Photoshop, MARI, Substance Painter/Designer)
Advanced proficiency using game engines (i.e. Unreal Engine, Unity)
Strong interpersonal skills, and effective working in groups
Strong oral communication, documentation, and presentation skills
Ability to juggle several tasks at once while prioritizing them based on deadlines
Ability to work with and direct others effectively
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Preferred Skills
Active DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one
AR/VR experience
Photography/photogrammetry experience
UMG experience creating dynamic displays
Niagara VFX experience
Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Work Environment
Remote work opportunities are limited due to the group interactions and hardware required to perform daily tasks. As a result, this job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
