CACI is looking for a Systems Administration Design Engineer for our Software Maintenance Action (SWMA) Team (e.g., scripting standard OS patch installs) for the Range, Communications, and Network segments that support the U.S. Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN). The SWMA team will also provide support to modification projects upgrading the server, storage, and networks supporting the U.S. Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN). You will use your patch management experience to help optimize the software maintenance process and you will bring your proactive energy, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to manage time and projects effectively to improve the security and functionality of AFSCN systems, and, when required, support operational issues.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Patch management for the AFSCN mission systemsTroubleshoot Windows OS and Microsoft application security patch installations and upgradesTroubleshoot Linux OS application security patch installations and upgradesTroubleshoot networking security patch installations and upgradesCreate installation and rollback plansCommunicate clearly and concisely in voice, written word, and graphics to conduct formal milestone customer briefingsInstall and configure systems at customer locations (approximately 25% currently anticipated)Support installation teams from central operational locationsAssist in every day troubleshooting at the lab environment set up to mimic the AFSCNCoordinate closely with cybersecurity, networking, software, and test engineering teamsMaintain and submit documentation in accordance with SWMA ProcedureBe responsible for designing and implementing changes to the client’s systems in accordance with project Statement of Objectives (SOO) and Statement of Work (SOW)Create system and network designs that determine appropriate scale and scope of technical solutions and describe the impact of those changesProvide informational support to the Engineering Documentation Management process to include USAF Tech Order (T.O.) creation and modificationParticipate in proposal development in response to customer modification directionYou’ll Bring These Qualifications:
VMware 6.X, Microsoft Server 2012 and later, NetApp Storage Systems, LinuxWorking knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration, Windows File Servers, IIS, DHCP and DNSCybersecurity experience IAW DISA STIGsPossess basic understanding of IT fundamentals including knowledge of hardware functions (switches, routers, servers etc.), database functions, storage, and networkingHave excellent customer relationship skillsHave excellent communication skillsBe a self-starter willing to seek knowledge and broaden their understanding of their areas of responsibilityHave exceptional time management skills and ability to switch between project tasks effectivelyHave proficiency in Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel3 Years of job-related experience and bachelor’s degree (7 Years in lieu of degree)Ability to obtain Security+ within 90 days of hireSecurity Clearance (Or ability to obtain)These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

The proposed salary range for this position is:
