Mount Carmel College of Nursing Systems Administrator

Position Purpose:

The College Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the day-to-day operations regarding the College’s systems and software. This includes our Student Information System (SIS), Learning Management System (LMS), College Website, and other products that are part of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System at the College of Nursing. The College Systems Administrator is expected to have specialized knowledge about each of the systems and provide hands-on support to college colleagues, which includes training. This position reports to the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and works closely with colleagues in Student Service offices (e.g., registration, records, admissions, bursar, financial aid), the Instructional Designer, and Academic programs (e.g., undergraduate, graduate). The College Systems Administrator is

also expected to collaborate with Trinity Information Systems (TIS) on any processes requiring TIS support. The College Systems Administrator will ensure the reliability and security of our systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement upgrades as needed.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. In lieu of degree, 5-7 years direct experience in systems administration and information technology.Licensure / Certification: none required, but relevant certifications preferredExperience: 5-7 years relevant work experienceMust have experience working in higher educationEffective Communication Skills Possess well developed skills in providing systems administration, technical support, and trainingAbility to work collaboratively or independently, demonstrate initiative; capable of prioritizing and managing own workload and work with minimum supervision – demonstrating accountabilityStrong organizational skillsProficiency in SQL databases, SAAS software, information systems, and integrationsPreferred but not required: Product Implementation Experience, Jenzabar or Ellucian product experience.
