System Administrator (3rd Shift)
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented 3rd Shift System Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the orders of the night run order cycle. Your responsibilities will include utilizing our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Warehouse Controller System (WCS) to import, wave, print labels, communicate discrepancies, then close and print routes from our internal systems. You will be monitoring the night run process from the Jackpot line of the Warehouse Controller System, and you will identify and communicate discrepancies and system errors to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime during the 3rd shift hours. Shift available: Monday through Thursday, 7 pm-5 am Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to): + Import routes from the Warehouse Management System into the Warehouse Controller System and wave routes to set which orders get picked first. + Manage the printing of labels including the Zebra label printers and consumables. + Monitor, identify, and communicate discrepancies from the jackpot line. + Ensure all cases are loaded on trucks, routes are closed, and invoices are printed from our internal systems. + Communicate to 3rd shift managers any issues that need to be resolved. + Investigate and communicate mistakes or malfunctions that occur on the system, including product misalignments, system errors, or operational delays. + Support supervisors and maintenance teams to address complex issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. + Communicate root cause analysis for recurring issues and long-term solutions. + Communicate item and location information needed from the internal systems. + Generate reports related to discrepancies, system performance, and potential areas for improvement. Requirements Qualifications: + Strong understanding of Warehouse Management/Warehouse Controller/Enterprise Resource Planning systems, experience with K1 and Shiraz software preferred. + Previous experience working with jackpot lines, automated systems, or similar manufacturing operations. + Familiarity with the operations of unionized environments and can work cooperatively with union employees. + Proficiency in Shiraz software or similar conveyor system management software. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) for reporting, communication, and documentation. + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to resolve system discrepancies quickly and efficiently. + Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks during 3rd shift hours (Monday through Thursday, 7pm-5am). + Strong communication skills, including the ability to report discrepancies and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a positive manner. + Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action processes. + Experience with data analysis and reporting to support decision-making and system improvements. + Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment in a unionized setting is a plus. Physical Requirements: + Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, including standing, walking, and occasionally lifting equipment. + Must be able to troubleshoot and address discrepancies in real-time, ensuring minimal impact on production.
