Job Description

Located minutes from downtown Austin, Cedar Park Regional Medical Center is a level IV Designated Trauma Center with more than 600 healthcare professionals working together to provide inpatient, outpatient, surgical and emergency care for Cedar Park and the greater Austin region.

 

Position Overview

 

We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team! This is a full time day shift Monday - Friday position 

 

Responsibilities

Manage acquisition process for new equipmentInstall & Manage all installed computing systems including: Desktop/laptop/tablet computers, printers, scanners; peripherals                                                                    such as speech mics, credit card readers, etc.Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system tools. Supports various projects by specifying, costing, creating shop drawings, and similar documents supporting the overall implementation of technology within the hospital and its subsidies.Be proficient with Active Directory and information systems security in a highly controlled and monitored environment.Effectively communicates and coordinates system downtime with technical staff, end-users, and vendors according to                                                                      established procedures.Provide support at all end user levels for hardware & software.Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.Train end users on technology and various applications.Must be able to work independently and make sound, logical decisions.Position may be periodically on call for after-hours support and perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred with a minimum of 3 years work experience in the information technology field.  Experience in healthcare field required.3 years experience as a systems administrator or related field, including project management experience.Minimum 3 years experience with clinical and financial applications.Minimum 3 years experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft operating systems and Novell Netware.Must be detail-oriented and have a thorough knowledge of computer systems; requirements may be substituted for equivalent combination of education and experience.
