System Administrator is responsible for server back up and security, along with performance tuning and capacity planning. SAs should possess an understanding of network and distributed computing concepts.
Complete Description:
The position will provide IT security administration functions to maintain the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of Department of Revenue information.
The main responsibility for this individual will be to provide security administration of user and group objects in an enterprise Active Directory structure.
The individual will also assist with Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) security administration on a z/OS mainframe, and will maintain accounts to control access to information and applications including IMS, DB2 and CICS. In addition, the individual will assist with maintenance on z/OS security software, including testing, implementation and documentation of authorized changes and upgrades.
The individual will help to analyze and resolve problems related to access control, user administration, and system security in all Department systems and applications.
The individual will maintain accounts used for encryption of laptop computers, and assist with management and troubleshooting of VPN accounts and VPN software on laptop computers.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with security audits, and maintaining manuals and procedures.
