Description We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable system performance, robust security, and efficient end-user support. Key Responsibilities: + Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers, virtual machines, and cloud-based infrastructure. + System Monitoring: Continuously monitor system performance, manage backups, and perform regular system audits to ensure optimal operation. + User & Security Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls while implementing and maintaining security protocols to safeguard data and infrastructure. + Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly, providing end-user support and technical assistance. + Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency. + Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with IT teams on system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations; document processes, procedures, and configurations accurately. + Incident Response: Participate in the development and execution of disaster recovery and incident response plans. Requirements Technical Skills & Qualifications: + Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS). + Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure). + Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages. + Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN. + Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds). + Familiarity with IT security practices, including firewall configurations, intrusion detection, and patch management. + Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. Additional Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. + Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, Red Hat Certified Engineer, CompTIA Security+). + Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving IT needs.
