System Administrator

KBR is looking to add a System Administrator to our team to support our DOD customers in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time on-site position. This position offers a CWS/Flex Schedule. Core working hours: M-F, 8-3 pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Provides support to IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/ network devices, etc. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to appropriate team members. Provides support for hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Manage the functionality and efficiency of multiple Windows-based servers. Configures and manages Windows operating systems, installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity, configures network components, and implements operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.Responsible for administering one or more of the following data systems: Computer systems hardware, software, information systems & peripheral equipment such as servers, desktops, printers, and storage devices.  Maintains, installs, upgrades, and configures data systems, administers operating systems, and maintains basic security and recovery procedures such as scheduling and backups.  Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues. Ability to work independently as a part of a team in RDT&E environments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Citizenship & Clearance: Must be a US Citizen. Must have an active Top Secret Clearance. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Certification: CompTIA Security + CE

Experience & Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT-related field and 5 years of relevant work experience, which includes experience managing Windows Servers, experience with software packages, and experience applying STIGs on Windows Servers.OR AA/AS in computer science or IT-related field and 9 years of relevant work experience, which includes experience managing Windows Servers, experience with software packages, and experience applying STIGs on Windows Servers.OR a High School Diploma or GED and 13 years of relevant work experience, which includes experience managing Windows Servers, experience with software packages, and experience applying STIGs on Windows Servers.
