System Administrator
**Description** We are looking for an experienced System Administrator to manage and enhance our IT infrastructure, particularly in a DoD environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in virtual enterprise solutions and Windows Server, basic networking, securing enterprise environments, and Active Directory management, along with proficiency in tools such as Jira and SharePoint. **Key Responsibilities:** + Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Group Policy management. + Manage and optimize VMware virtualization technologies. + Implement and maintain system security protocols in accordance with DoD standards. + Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues. + Perform system patching and updates to ensure compliance and security. + Administer and support SharePoint and Jira for project management and collaboration. + Document system configurations, procedures, and security policies. + Capture, document and maintain knowledge documents and processes + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system functionality and security. + Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in system administration. + Security + Certification is required. + Server Certification (MCSA, Azure, Linux System Administration Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified Fundamentals or equivalent) **Qualifications** **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus 2 years of experience or HS plus 6 years + Security + Certification is required. + Server Certification (MCSA, Azure, Linux System Administration Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified Fundamentals or equivalent) + Top Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SCI + Proven experience as a System Administrator in a DoD or similarly regulated environment. + Strong experience with VMware and virtualization technologies. + Strong experience with Windows Server administration. + In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and system security best practices. + Experience managing Active Directory, Group Policies, and user permissions. + Proficiency in Windows Server administration and management. + Familiarity with SharePoint and Jira for project collaboration. + Experience with system patching and update management. + Understanding of DoD compliance requirements and security standards. **Soft Skills:** + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. + Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. + Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. + Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. **Certifications (optional but preferred):** + Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate + VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Nutanix + CASP or CISSP Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000.
