System Administrator - Application II

This role of System Administrator – Application is to maintain the server environment by identifying system requirements, provisioning new systems, installing upgrades, managing software maintenance and licensing.  The System Application team is responsible for all Paycom application servers across all Paycom datacenters.  As a System Administrator you will collaborate with the team in the architecture, configuration, and maintenance of all system application projects, tools and processes, as well as participate in troubleshooting, remediation, and documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Helping implementing the architecture design and determining system requirements for all new server requests Configure Windows and Linux operating systems on virtual machines and physical servers Work support tickets assigned to the Systems Application team Review system performance and logs and work with other team members to determine Paycom’s overall system health Capacity planning and forecasting Develop team documentation for day to day duties and gained team knowledge Keep systems properly configured, updated, healthy, hardened and scaled to meet the needs of the business Work with various technology teams to pro-actively evaluate DR plans, backup requirements, and failover procedures Communicate with vendors to ensure we are properly licensed and up to date on renewals Be responsible for and act as subject matter expert on any assigned systems
