RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
+ Watershed is looking for a System Administrator that can perform their duties with limited guidance from a supervisor, the System Administrator utilizes knowledge and experience to deploy new technologies as well as design, install, configuring, maintain and perform system integration testing, upgrades and troubleshooting of both cloud and on-premises server operating systems, related utilities, micro services and applications
+ The System Administrator monitors system activities and fine tunes system parameters and configurations to optimize performance and ensure security of systems and cloud services
+ They perform ACAS Scans, STIGs, troubleshooting, monitor and control usage of resources, while maintaining a stable, secure, and productive technology environment(s)
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
+ CompTIA Security + CE -DISA ESS (Endpoint Security Services) / HBSS (Host Based Security System) Certification
+ Experience with Linux Servers Windows administration requirements: Experience with MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) and SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), active directory, and group policy - MECM type certification
+ Clear understanding of Group Policy, Active Directory, DNS (Domain Name Services), and Windows desktop troubleshooting
+ Scripting and Programming experience: - Understanding of PowerShell scripting
+ Linux administration Experience: Familiar with RHEL 8 and 9
+ Ability to navigate inside a Linux environment
+ Prefer Red Hat RHCSA or Red Hat RHCSE certification
+ Active Secret Security Clearance.
Responsibilities of this position also include, but are not limited to:
+ Attending mandatory, annual training sessions
+ Providing regular status reports to management summarizing progress, challenges, metrics, and recommendations
+ Collaborating with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination
+ Attending recurring team meetings or huddles
+ Assisting in the development of new initiatives
