RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
+ Administering, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining operating system and related software
+ Establishing and implementing standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters
+ Troubleshooting and resolving software, operating system, and networking problems
+ Scheduling and monitoring system backups and, when necessary, performing data recoveries
+ Installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation
+ Maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services
+ Training staff on software applicable to their position, assist customers with information technology, monitors system configuration (hardware and software), and provides instruction on computers and applications .
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
+ DoD 8570 IAT II or higher certification
+ Bachelor's level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
+ 7 years professional experience in systems administration
+ Active Secret security clearance
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Responsibilities of this position also include, but are not limited to:
+ Attending mandatory, annual training sessions
+ Providing regular status reports to management summarizing progress, challenges, metrics, and recommendations
+ Collaborating with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination
+ Attending recurring team meetings or huddles
+ Assisting in the development of new initiatives
