Summary

The Epic Systems Specialist is a senior role that collaborates with key customers and end users to identify and build Epic ClinDoc improvements that serve their needs. This role will also lead Epic improvement implementations, develop training materials, and onboard internal customers.  The ideal candidate has deep experience understanding customer needs and operational requirements, then building Epic system improvements that make a positive impact on their work. He or she will also collaborate closely with other Epic teams, such as Billing, MyChart.

Responsibilities

Act as an Epic ClinDoc subject matter expert providing input and support on multiple initiatives to enhance the solution Lead multiple projects to enhance and improve the Epic Inpatient solution Gather system requirements from internal customers and their operational counter parts Identify, define and build inpatient-related Epic solution(s) that meet customers' needs Participate in system testing events by designing, editing, and executing scripts Build relationships and collaborate with customers, including clinical teams and vendors, to understand their needs Accurately document and report any noted errors or deficiencies Provides support to department/end users during system upgrade and optimization activities for Projects and New System        Implementations; executes assigned tasks under the supervision of senior team members/management   Utilize system knowledge and available resources to address routine issues Develop and maintain training content for users Facilitate workflow adoption on new processes Collaborate closely with clinical partners such as Nursing Directors, Clinicians, as well as other Epic teams, such as Billing, and  MyChart, to achieve desired outcomes Mentor junior analyst roles

Experience

       5-6+ years’ requirements gathering and build experience with large hospital applications/systems        4+ years of ClinDoc analyst experience preferred        Designing, editing and executing test scripts experience        System upgrade support experience        Issue resolution experience        Experience delivering training to end users

Education and Certifications

 Epic application Certification; ClinDoc Certification Three years' Epic build experience  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; Associate degree considered if have applicable experience that exceeds minimum requirements Professional Licensure preferred (RN, etc.) or other clinical certification such as Respiratory, Physical Therapy

Work location

Able to work in hybrid remote/on-site environment Employee will need to be available to work onsite at the Mount Sinai Medical Center for planned activities, including but not limited to:  Implementation support, Upgrades and Training activities Must have a proven track record of being able to work independently and as part of a cohesive team operating in a remote environment Must be a current resident of Florida or willing to relocate to Florida
