Site Name: Malaysia - Petaling Jaya Posted Date: Dec 23 2024 Join us as System and Business Analyst and you are responsible of managing Power BI for data analytics and reporting systems, with responsibilities including data analytics, modeling, reporting, and synthesizing data into actionable insights. Required skills include excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, experience in data governance, and effective communication. Over 5 years of experience with Power BI, designing data reports, dashboards, and knowledge of cloud-based BI systems are critical. The role is an individual contributor position, working with key stakeholders such as Sales, Marketing, Medical, and IT teams. These responsibilities include some of the following: Power BI or system equivalent platform administration and management Lead the design, development and deployment of PBI dashboard and reports to stakeholders. Maintaining and building dashboards for internal customers using internal visualization tools Setting up and monitoring the PBI platform to ensure reliability and performance Administering user access and roles, including permissions and security settings Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements Ensuring compliance with data security and governance policies Identifying and resolving data issues within the platform Data analytics, modeling and reporting Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns and actionable insights Analyzing data requirement and designing efficient data models Synthesizing data and analysis into impactful, action-orientated reports for internal stakeholders. Embed automated data solutions to simplify operations, track performance and provide competitive benchmarking analysis. Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes and data visualization Provide recommendations based on data findings and to improve business performance Collaborating with stakeholders to build insightful reports and dashboards. Ensure data accuracy, consistency and integrity across PBI reports and dashboards Support Business Intelligence Lead to drive BI strategy and goals Identify opportunities to improve business processes using PBI insights Collaborating with cross functional teams to develop strategies for better data utilization. Explore opportunities to incorporate predictive and prescriptive analytics into the organization decision making processes. Training and user support Act as a liaison between technical team and business units, ensuring data solutions align with strategic goals Training users to effectively utilize PBI features and tools Risk management, Documentation and Compliance Documenting processes, workflows, and data models within the PBI environment Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and data governance standards Why you? Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related discipline. 5+ years experience in business intelligence tools with a focus on PBI development, administration and optimization Experience in designing data and reporting, dashboarding, and advanced analytics solutions to support dynamic visualizations. Knowledge of cloud-based BI systems (eg Azure, AWS) Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills Strong attention to detail and quality assurance, experience with data governance, compliance and security practices Effective communication and stakeholder management Why GSK?
