System Architect - Steam Turbine Controls
Job Description SummaryOpportunity to fill the role of System Architect or a world class engineering team responsible for the development, fulfillment and validation of steam turbine controls hardware and software. Through innovation and active partnering with other GE engineering teams and external customers you will have the opportunity to guide a team to design, implement and validate steam turbine control software for combined cycle power plants. This leadership role, in addition to closely collaborating with our internal & external customers, is critical in driving a team culture of technical domain depth, contemporary leadership, on-time quality execution and strong customer-focused mindset.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Guide team in the design, development, execution and validation of steam turbine control application software to project/product requirements.Develop and maintain documentation and work instructions for steam turbine controls software requisition process.Provide technical guidance and mentoring to steam turbine controls engineers.Maintain strong contacts within the Thermal Engineering community to ensure strong systems solutionsDefine and deliver productivity and process improvements that increase the capacity of the steam turbine controls team.Work with internal engineering teams, internal customers, and external customers to gather control and operability requirements to deliver a quality product on time to meet Power Plant startups and commissioning.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical or related engineeringMinimum 8 years of experience with controls development and/or design

The base pay range for this position is 111,200.00 - 185,400.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% bonus.
