The successful candidate, for System Design/Architect Engineer, will be the technical lead responsible for system engineering Evolved Strategic SATCOM (ESS) task order execution in support of the highly successful Command and Control Consolidated System supporting the C-SAR program based in Colorado Springs, CO. Candidate will oversee a team responsible for requirements analysis, system design, reliability analysis, system hardware/software integration, risk management, and system documentation generation/updates. The candidate will work closely with system developers, test, and on-site user support personnel to support system updates, and ensure project objectives are met. Primary responsibilities include Task Order execution/compliance, preparation/review of reports, meeting and working group support, and contributions towards future Task Orders, ECPs and CCPs. + Work closely with Program leadership to ensure all System Engineering requirements are met + Lead/Conduct studies and capture technical analysis in support future design reviews + Lead/Chair Interface Control Document generation and recurring ICWGs with internal/external stakeholders + Chair/Host/Support all required IPTs, TIMs, WGs and Ad hoc meetings + Participate in CDRLs generation and deliveries based on customer prescribed schedule + Provide technical advice to our customers on architectures and potential solutions + SecDevOps processes and related Agile practices (Atlassian suite) + Perform the role of Product Owner + Requirement’s decomposition and analysis + System design and architecture + Support Reliability analysis + System documentation generation and updates + Attend and support highly technical engineering team meetings + Develop and deliver effective customer presentations (support design reviews, status reports, kickoff meetings, test plans) demonstrating an ability to communicate comfortably at a system level + Travel as necessary to attend conferences and customer meetings Required Experience: + 10+ years engineering + BS in SE, CS, EE, ME, or other engineering equivalent + Ability to lead a team of System Engineers + Support programs through SRR, PDR, CDR or equivalent design reviews + Experience with SCN or satellite ground systems + Familiarity with modern IT infrastructure capabilities to include virtualization, cloud deployment and containerization (CNFs) + Familiarity with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) + Complete knowledge of Agile methodology + Candidate must be self-motivated and comfortable with supporting multiple groups of developers, engineers, and testers. + Candidate must be able to articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the customer and users. + Excellent written and oral communications skills. + Working knowledge of space systems, including ground systems and system development processes + DOORS and Cameo experience + Secret Security Clearance is required, must be willing to obtain a TS/SCI Preferred Skills and Experience Experience with the following: + Space to Ground ICDs + SCN (formally AFSCN) + SATCOM mission planning + Risk management + MBSE + SecDevOps processes and related Agile practices + Risk Management Framework (RMF) + Security+ certification is not required but is beneficial to the position #LI-Onsite Competitive salary based on experience and education Salary Range: $145,000-$185,000 Kratos is valued for our ability to design and deliver leading edge, resilient solutions for aerospace communication, control, awareness and mission success across a continuum of offerings—from commercial to tailored custom solutions and integrated programs.
