The System Design team is responsible for the liquid hydraulic design and analysis of all the work being developed or performed by the Projects organization.
In this role, you will complete and oversee the pipeline and facility hydraulic design throughout the planning, design, procurement, construction, and start-up stages of the project lifecycle.

What you will do:
Collaborate with Project Development Engineers and other key stakeholders to develop optimized designs, with consideration and input given to operational and capital cost factors, thinking like an owner.
Ensure delivery of hydraulic designs and alternatives, including value engineering considerations, are provided to Project Development Engineers in a timely manner.
Follow all internal and external standards and engineering practices, ensuring hydraulic designs also fit regional design practices when applicable.
Initiate meetings, correspondence, and discussion with appropriate project resources when project scope / schedule / cost require clarification.
Lead the pipeline and terminal steady state and transient modeling activities, ensure proposed pipeline designs are operable under normal operation and transient conditions.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
Registered as an Engineer-In-Training with APEGA or eligible to apply.
2-4 years of progressively responsible experience in engineering design and project management directly related to liquid hydrocarbon pipeline and facility design in the oil and gas industry.
Knowledge of hydraulic modeling software such as Synergi Pipeline Simulator, PipeFlo, PIPESIM, and AFT Fathom.
Effective interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution skills.
Proven track record to be innovative and be a change champion.
Working Conditions:
Typical office environment.
Up to 10% travel.
