System Development Engineer, Facility Operations Systems Engineering

The FOSE (Facility Operation Systems Engineering) team is looking for an individual with proven skills to invent, build and operate systems at scale. The FOSE team is a part of the Facility Operations Center (FOC) team, who are responsible for data center infrastructure alarm and event response, and ensuring the response is standardized and streamlined. The FOSE team develops and supports systems which automate manual tasks and aid data center operations and engineering teams as they respond to alarms and events. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of data center physical infrastructure, be able to provide clear and concise written and verbal communication, experience with operational excellence in a system development environment, and a strong command of various programming languages. This position will interface with FOC engineers and project managers, as well as cross-organizational stakeholders, to review system requirements and drive new innovative projects, while also looking for ways to simplify existing tools and procedures to benefit our customers.

Key job responsibilities
- Own and execute multiple major system development projects.
- Collaborate with partner teams across Data Center Operations to build system designs and requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with other developers to foster ideas and best practices.
- Create processes to drive efficiency, quality and security standards.
- Mentor team members in career growth.
- Troubleshoot and remediate complex technical issues
- Drive operational excellence and improvements in tool quality and reliability.
- Invent new solutions bringing them from concept to production.
- Use Software Development Best Practices to deliver technical solutions, enabling automation, self-service, monitoring, velocity, operational excellence and ease-of-use for our customers.
- Implement and manage CI/CD deployment pipelines.
